Sometimes you wake up and know it is going to be the perfect day. Karlie and Danny’s wedding day, was just one of those days. Despite the impending rain, the excitement and love spilling out of family, friends and wedding party was palpable. Prior to the ceremony, bustling hair and makeup people made up the gorgeous bridesmaids in a flurry of fabulous makeup and to die for hair. The bride Karlie, casually took in the hustle and bustle with a mimosa in one perfectly manicured hand, and her laptop in the other. Danny and his groomsmen hit the hot tub early and lounged around the groom’s suite until it was time to iron ties, and put on their tuxes. To this wedding party, it was all about the experience, spending time together, enjoying laughing, constant teasing and good natured banter.

The epitome of balance, Karlie is the endlessly confident, sharp as a tack, drop dead gorgeous girl; and Danny the laid back, logical, off the cuff humor guy. As the afternoon progressed, and the ceremony grew closer and closer, I starting seeing the tiny signs of excited nervousness and overwhelming emotions that often times hit a bride at a moments notice. As planned, Karlie and Danny met for their first look overlooking the beautiful San Diego Bay, about an hour before the ceremony. As Danny turned around to get a look at his bride, huge smiles broke out on both their faces. Danny, in his ever perfect timing asked, “am I allowed to touch you?”. Karlie burst into her signature larger than life, always contagious laugh; and any nervousness or fear that had been showing on her face, immediately disappeared.

The day was here, they were surrounded by people that loved them to pieces, life was good. Everything was… perfect.

A very special thanks to Jenna Marie Photo for being my other eyes, and lens on this one, she is an incredible photographer, so be sure to check out more of her work on her blog!
